Get up and running with Inflight in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through connecting your first APM provider and setting up your services for optimization.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- An active account with at least one supported APM provider
- API access credentials for your APM provider
- At least one service generating metrics
- Access to the Inflight dashboard
Quick Start Guide
Follow these four steps to start optimizing your services:
Connect Your APM Provider
Link your existing monitoring tools to start collecting metrics. Inflight supports Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, and SigNoz out of the box.
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations in the Inflight dashboard
- Select your APM provider from the available options
- Enter your API credentials (API key and endpoint URL)
- Test the connection to verify everything is working
Register Your Services
Add the services you want to optimize. Inflight will automatically start collecting relevant metrics.
- Go to Services → Add Service
- Enter your service name and select the runtime (Java, Go, etc.)
- Configure the metrics you want to track
- Set baseline performance expectations (optional)
Review Your Metrics
Once connected, Inflight normalizes metrics from all your APM providers into a unified view.
- View real-time metrics on your dashboard
- Compare performance across different time periods
- Identify trends and anomalies automatically
- Set up alerts for critical thresholds
Get AI Recommendations
Inflight's AI analyzes your metrics and suggests safe, validated optimizations with clear explanations.
- Review recommendations in the Advisor tab
- Understand the reasoning behind each suggestion
- Use simulation to validate changes before deployment
- Apply recommendations with confidence
